AI NPC generator · describe them, then meet them

AI NPC Generator — Make NPCs That Walk, Talk and Answer

Your cast, standing in one place — and they talk to each other while you look around. Describe the scene; the NPCs walk it, stop to argue, and each one has a roleplay of their own.

The Liyue wharf cast — Genshin Impact · Zhongli, Xiangling and Hu Tao, cut out of their own scene. The Katagiri courtyard cast — Horimiya · Hori, Miyamura and Ishikawa, after the last bell. The Baratie deck cast — One Piece · Sanji, Buggy and Mihawk, sunset on the deck.Tap a resident — Horimiya · the published scene tells you that a tap opens that resident’s roleplay.

A paragraph is not a person.

A personality line is a note about someone; a portrait is a picture of them. Neither stands anywhere or says anything. Neta Studio builds the whole encounter — the place, the cast, the walk cycles and the lines they trade — then puts a roleplay behind each face, using the world’s own facts about who they are.

  • A lane for every NPC — each resident gets a patrol path, a stopping point and two idle lines, so the place is inhabited before the first exchange.
  • Bubbles on the speaker — six short exchanges between pairs, the bubble pinned to the character who is talking instead of printed in a log at the bottom.
  • A roleplay behind each face — every resident also gets their own roleplay in the world, built from the same facts and the same place, with a secret the chatter only hints at.

Questions before you cast them

Is this a D&D NPC generator?

It generates NPCs, not 5e rules. You get a named cast with portraits, paths and dialogue in a scene; race, class, stats and hit points stay on your own sheet. This covers the part players remember — the face and the voice.

What exactly comes back?

One 2:1 panorama of the place, a transparent full-body portrait and a walk strip for each NPC, six short exchanges between pairs, two idle lines per character, and a published page you can look around and tap.

How many NPCs fit in one scene?

Three by default. The config takes more if you give each one a lane and a portrait; past five or six the bubbles start colliding and the scene reads as a crowd instead of a conversation.

Can they talk to me, not only to each other?

The chatter in the scene happens between them. Each resident also carries a full roleplay in the world — open it from the scene or from the world’s works, and the other two answer you there.

Do I need a reference image or a 3D model?

No. Describe the place and the people and it generates the panorama and the portraits. If the character already exists in the world, it uses that character’s look and facts instead of inventing a new face.

Can I use my own art?

Yes — upload a panorama and transparent portraits and it builds the page around them. The panorama has to be 2:1 equirectangular, and each portrait needs a transparent background.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Drag to look around, tap a resident to start the roleplay. Walk animation and shadows are on by default and can be switched off for older devices.

Can I change the dialogue after it is built?

Ask in plain language — a new line, a different pair, a colder tone — and the config is rewritten. Changing a line is cheap; replacing the cast is a rebuild.

Give the NPC somewhere to stand.

One sentence about the place and the people in it. The cast walks in with portraits, paths and lines.
