Duotone Effect Maker — Photo to Two-Ink Poster
The duotone effect finished as a printed sheet: two inks, real halftone dots and one huge serif title on warm paper, not a gradient map laid over a photo.

Nine sheets, four worlds.
All nine posters above were made in Neta Studio from eight character references and one harbour plate, across Genshin Impact, Jujutsu Kaisen, Horimiya and The Boys. The skill reads the reference, locks two to five anchors, picks one of four palettes and returns a sheet at 3:4. Open The Last Ferry to see it full size.
- Two inks, no third hue. Cobalt and orange, warm black and vermilion, or teal and brick. The image is rebuilt on those plates; a gradient map is not allowed to sneak in.
- Dots you can see at 100%. Shadows and midtones become a mechanical halftone screen. The dots hold the cheek, the coat and the water instead of a smooth digital blend.
- The title is printed, not pasted. A Didot-style serif sits in the paper and may overlap the figure, but it never covers the face. At least a third of the sheet stays blank.
Questions before you print.
What is a duotone effect?
A duotone maps an image to two inks: one plate for shadows and darks, one accent for highlights or a single focal event. The result reads as print, not as a colour photo.
Is this a filter or a poster?
A poster. You get one finished sheet with a large serif title, halftone dots and empty paper. If you want the photo recoloured with no type at all, this skill is the wrong tool.
Do I have to upload a photo?
Yes, unless you name a character or place card that already has a picture in your world. The skill needs one reference to keep the face and silhouette.
Which colours can I choose?
Four presets: cobalt and orange on warm paper, warm black and vermilion, cream with teal and brick, or cobalt alone. Custom hex pairs are not part of this skill.
Will it keep the face?
It keeps two to five anchors listed before generation — hair, eyes, a scar, a coat. The title may cross the body, but it never covers both eyes.
What size is the file?
A 3:4 portrait, requested at 1152×1536 and delivered at 896×1200. There is no crop; the ink and ratio are checked before delivery.
Can I use a character from a series?
Yes, if the reference is yours or comes from a world you own. The nine posters here use Genshin Impact, Jujutsu Kaisen, Horimiya and The Boys.
Can I make a plain duotone image with no title?
Not with this skill: v1 always sets one display title and one palette. Ask for a duotone restyle without type if you need the image alone.
Start with one photo.
One reference, one title. The sheet comes back printed in two inks.
