Chatting with Huo Yanting — The AI Roleplay Where the Cruelest Man in Beijing Keeps a Ledger of You
Final Product: Chatting with Huo Yanting

Chatting with Huo Yanting is a playable Chinese romance roleplay about a man who never explains himself and never forgets a debt — set in the members-only clubs, guest bedrooms and hospital corridors of modern Beijing.
You are Tao Ziyue, a film student who followed the wrong crowd into a private club and opened the wrong door. The room is full of men in dark suits. Before you can finish apologising, the man in the centre raises one hand, and the room empties. He does not ask your name. He takes out a handkerchief and cleans the hand he just lifted, slowly, and then he lets you stay.
That is Huo Yanting: head of the Huo family, boss of the Qinglong gang, owner of a Macau casino, a tattoo climbing his throat, rings on every other finger, and a cleanliness so absolute that he wipes his hands before and after everything he touches. He speaks in three-word sentences. He keeps a ledger. And he has just decided that you are the one entry he will not close.
The story is written live, one turn at a time. Speak, refuse, lie, leave, come back at 3 a.m. — the narrator answers in his voice and keeps every small fact in canon: the gastritis, the food you cannot eat, the colours you wear, the dog waiting at home, the song you sing on the window ledge. Game Features
- Live LLM Narrative Direction — no branching tree and no canned replies. A deepseek-v4-flash narrator reads what you write and answers as him: the refusal instead of the lie, the handkerchief before the hand, the silence that arrives long before the anger. Because it reads the same canon every turn, the man who can end a rival over dinner is the same man who kneels to comb the tangles out of your hair.
- A Ledger, Not a Mood — his defining habit is accounting. Favours, insults, promises, the night he pointed a gun at you: all of it gets written down. The narrator treats your history the same way, so a thing you said in scene two can be handed back to you, settled, five scenes later. Nothing in this romance evaporates; it accrues.
- Two Seats, One Canon — play the default seat as Tao Ziyue, or open the optional first input and set the opening line yourself. Type dialogue, action, a silence, an outright lie. The narrator never writes your choices, your words or your feelings for you — it only writes what he does about them.
- Tenderness Withheld Until Earned — this is not a softened bad-boy fantasy. He is possessive, short-tempered and physically capable, and the story does not sand that off. What it offers instead is contrast: a man who keeps a gun in the room and a wooden comb in the drawer, and who has to break one of his own rules every time he is gentle with you.
- The Small Things, Remembered — no chilli, no coffee or tea, no heavy floral scent; the colours you wear, the films you quote, the biscuits in your pocket, the dog named Xiaoman. Ask for something once and it can return three scenes later, already arranged. That continuity is what makes the quiet scenes land harder than the loud ones.
- Browser-Playable, One Link to Share — runs in the browser on desktop or phone, nothing to install and free to start. The dark cinematic interface keeps the text in front and his portrait behind it, and any session can be shared, remixed or picked up again from the same link.

Production Process Breakdown
The world began as a single unedited seed prompt: “let me start a story with a character”, followed by the full dossier of a man — birthday, blood type, height, tattoos, temper, cleanliness, his sister, his gang, the way he loves. That seed became 未命名世界, a modern-Beijing romance world with a Chinese-language canon, a semi-realistic painterly visual style and two character atoms. Nothing on this page was invented afterwards to make it look richer; it describes the world that is actually loaded when you press play.
Huo Yanting received a 4,296-character bible: identity, appearance, the exact cadence of his speech, his behaviour toward Tao Ziyue, his blind spots, his fears, and his whole network — his sister Xu Qing, brothers Huo Chengyin and Huo Cheng, nephew Huo Shaoze, friends Xu Zeyang, Song Yi and Jiang Ren. Tao Ziyue was written as a 1,681-character optional player atom with her own body, tastes, illnesses and limits. These are the documents the narrator reads every turn, which is why he remembers that coffee makes her ill.
The playable spine is deliberately narrow and sharp: one wrong door, one room that empties, one man who asks no questions. The premise and the optional first line were written to leave you maximum room — apologise, freeze, lie, demand to leave, or sit down uninvited. The narrator was instructed to keep him terse, physically still and socially absolute, and never to narrate your choices, your speech or your feelings for you.
Both principals were illustrated as 1024×1024 character cards with GPT Image 2, holding one consistent face, hair, build and wardrobe across the set. A separate 1535×2047 narrative illustration — “心不还了” (The Heart Isn’t Returned), the bedroom scene where he kneels to comb her hair dry — was painted for the world and ships with it. The 16:9 cover was then generated from the two portraits as references, so the man and woman on the cover are recognisably the same two people you meet in the chat.
Both portraits were passed through BiRefNet to produce clean transparent PNGs with no halo and no clipped shoulder, then every asset was uploaded and checked with a 200 response. The live share page was opened in a real browser at 1280×800 and driven through three states — title screen, optional first line, Act-as panel with the opening typed — and captured for this gallery. The world studio was captured in three genuinely different views (board, wiki, character canon) and all three were md5-checked to prove they are not duplicates.

"Cinematic semi-realistic painterly game cover art, 16:9 widescreen key visual, for a Chinese modern-Beijing bad-boy romance roleplay. Composition: seen from behind and slightly to the left of a slender young Chinese woman (Tao Ziyue, 24, wavy dark-brown shoulder-length hair, olive-green blazer over a cream silk shirt, a small silver camera on a chain), she stands in the foreground left third, one hand pushing open a heavy mahogany door, a film clapperboard held against her hip. Beyond the door, in a dim members-only club room, a tall 190cm Chinese man (Huo Yanting) sits alone in a deep burgundy leather armchair: shoulder-length black hair, rimless silver-edged glasses, a row of silver ear studs and a small brow piercing, a dark totem tattoo climbing his neck into an open black shirt, black-and-silver rings on his fingers, one cigarette burning between two fingers, one ankle over the other, cold tired unreadable gaze lifted toward her. Background: dark wood and brass, a green baize card table with abandoned chips, curling blue-grey smoke, one amber pendant lamp, a rain-streaked floor-to-ceiling window with red neon and the Beijing skyline blurred far below. Mood: obsessive, tender, dangerous, restrained desire, film-noir intimacy, the moment before he decides to let her stay. Lighting: warm amber key light against cool blue-grey rain light, soft rim light on hair and shoulders, deep cinematic shadows, visible painterly brushwork, fine canvas grain, muted palette of black, deep burgundy, dark green and silver. Generous empty negative space at the top for a title. No text, no letters, no typography, no logo, no watermark, no interface."
"Cinematic semi-realistic painterly scene background, 16:9 widescreen, no people, no text. The third floor of a private members' club in Beijing at 2 a.m., minutes after everyone has been sent out: a heavy mahogany door standing wide open at the left with a wedge of amber corridor light falling across a dark patterned carpet, deep burgundy leather Chesterfield sofas, a low marble table with crystal glasses and one abandoned whiskey, a green baize card table under a low brass pendant lamp with playing cards and chips frozen mid-hand, dark wood panelling, red velvet drapes, a tall rain-streaked window with the Beijing skyline and red neon far below, thin blue-grey cigarette smoke still hanging in the still air. Mood: dangerous, quiet, opulent, abandoned, the silence after a decision. Lighting: warm amber pools against cool blue night, deep cinematic shadows, soft haze, visible painterly brushwork, fine canvas grain, muted palette of black, burgundy, dark green and brass. No people, no text, no letters, no watermark."
"Cinematic semi-realistic painterly scene background, 16:9 widescreen, no people, no text. An east-facing guest bedroom in a luxury minimalist Beijing apartment at dusk: brand-new crisp white bedding, a single warm amber bedside lamp, a wide window with a deep sill and a blurred blue-grey city skyline beyond the glass, one open window letting in cold evening air, a wooden comb and a folded cream blanket on the bed, a worn caramel teddy bear propped against the pillow, a glass of warm water and a small paper bag of biscuits on the nightstand, a faint scent of sun-dried linen, the whole room still and sacred as if a song just ended. Mood: intimate, healing, bittersweet, protected. Lighting: one warm amber key light against cool blue dusk, soft falloff, deep gentle shadows, visible painterly brushwork, fine canvas grain, muted palette of cream, warm wood, blue-grey and amber. No people, no text, no letters, no watermark."
"Cinematic semi-realistic painterly scene background, 16:9 widescreen, no people, no text. A private hospital room in Beijing at 4 a.m. during a three-day fever: a hospital bed with rumpled white sheets and one thin blanket thrown back, an IV stand with a half-spent drip bag, a heart monitor with its numbers glowing faintly green, a plastic chair pulled right up against the mattress with a folded black suit jacket left on it, a paper cup of water, a phone face-down on the bedside table, cold fluorescent corridor light bleeding through the half-open door, the tall window showing a rainy city before dawn. Mood: exhausted, tender, watchful, the worst of the night almost over. Lighting: cold blue-green clinical light against one warm reading lamp, deep quiet shadows, visible painterly brushwork, fine canvas grain, muted palette of white, steel grey, pale green and warm amber. No people, no text, no letters, no watermark."
Why Choose Neta Studio
Professional — the whole production runs on a cloud harness, from the first world line to character bibles, roleplay direction, art, cut-outs, browser QA and publishing, with no local setup. Stable access to the latest models: GPT Image 2 · deepseek-v4-flash · BiRefNet.
One-click generation — officially tuned skills drive every step: world building, character canon, roleplay drafting, portrait and scene generation, transparent cut-outs, in-browser visual checks and one-click publishing. Rerun a single card, swap a model, or regenerate the cover without rebuilding the rest of the production.
Built for stories that stay in character — the world bible is not a prompt you paste once and lose. Huo Yanting and Tao Ziyue live as character atoms with their own art, histories, wants and pressure points, and the narrator reads the same canon every turn. That is why he can be brutal with a rival and careful with a hairbrush in the same evening, and why the story still remembers your gastritis three scenes after you mention it.
Publish, share, remix — every finished roleplay gets a clean share page, a mobile-friendly player and a world studio where the canon stays editable. Start a session, send the link, or open the same world and build a different story on top of it.
