What is inside

A single painted base map, 20 location markers, and 20 detail scenes with three points of interest each. Azkaban — A black fortress on a storm-wracked rock in the North Sea, built to hold wizarding Britain's worst prisoners and guarded for a time by Dementors. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry — The great school above the Black Lake, where every young witch and wizard of Britain learns spellwork, potions and the cost of courage. Hogwarts Castle — The castle itself: a shifting labyrinth of staircases, corridors and hidden doors that seems to grow a new room whenever a student needs one.

  • Azkaban A black fortress on a storm-wracked rock in the North Sea, built to hold wizarding Britain's worst prisoners and guarded for a time by Dementors.
  • Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry The great school above the Black Lake, where every young witch and wizard of Britain learns spellwork, potions and the cost of courage.
  • Hogwarts Castle The castle itself: a shifting labyrinth of staircases, corridors and hidden doors that seems to grow a new room whenever a student needs one.
  • Great Hall The heart of the school: four long tables beneath an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky, lit by thousands of floating candles.
  • Gryffindor Tower A warm round tower above the school, reached through a portrait of a fat lady and furnished with worn armchairs, red banners and a fire that never quite goes out.
  • Slytherin Dungeon A common room beneath the lake, where green waterlight ripples over serpent-carved walls and ambition is spoken of like a virtue.
  • Ravenclaw Tower The tallest tower of the school, where the door asks a riddle in a bronze eagle's voice and a wrong answer means waiting outside.
  • Hufflepuff Basement A round, low-ceilinged common room under the school, warm with plants, teapots and the smell of bread from the kitchens next door.
  • Forbidden Forest The dark pine wood at the edge of the grounds, home to centaurs, unicorns, spiders and things students are told never to meet.
  • Hogsmeade The only all-wizarding village in Britain: a steep cobbled lane of sweet shops, pubs and post offices under a permanent dusting of snow.
  • Chamber of Secrets A flooded hidden hall deep beneath the school, carved with serpents and sealed behind the face of Salazar Slytherin.
  • Diagon Alley A crooked lane hidden behind the Leaky Cauldron, where wands, cauldrons and school trunks are bought in a single afternoon.
  • Ministry of Magic The wizarding government, hidden beneath London behind a public toilet entrance and lit only by green floo flame.
  • Platform Nine and Three-Quarters A platform that does not exist on any map, reached by walking straight at the barrier between platforms nine and ten.
  • Gringotts Wizarding Bank A white marble bank run by goblins, with vaults so deep they are reached by mine cart and guarded by dragons.
  • The Burrow A tall, crooked family house stacked room upon room, held together by magic, affection and a great deal of patchwork.
  • Privet Drive An ordinary suburban street of identical houses, neat lawns and trimmed hedges, where anything unusual is firmly ignored.
  • Godric's Hollow A quiet village of steep lanes and stone cottages, remembered for the night a house was ruined and a war turned.
  • 12 Grimmauld Place A row house that swells out of the brickwork between numbers eleven and thirteen only for those who already know it is there.
  • Malfoy Manor A grand pale-stone manor behind iron gates and clipped hedges, all polished floors, long corridors and cold politeness.
