Who Is Lucifer?
Lucifer is the eighth demon encountered in Helltaker and the ruler of Hell — officially the CEO. She is the end of the game's progression and the start of its best joke: the most powerful being in the underworld is charmed in about four lines by a man who wants to make a harem out of demons. In Examtaker she has been usurped and serves as a maid under Loremaster, which is the series' idea of a sequel.

What She Is
- The ruler — She keeps the underworld in order through actual management competence, not fear alone — Moon describes her as highly capable at the job.
- The ego — She opens by offering the Helltaker the position of "most treasured slave," which is generous by her standards.
- The temper — Ignore her authority and the politeness evaporates. The anger is quick and personal.
The Look
A short demon woman with pale skin, red irises, and long silvery-white hair tied at the end, bangs held by a black spiked tiara. White jagged horns — the style reads as age, and she is very old. Narrow eyes, a mole beneath her left eye, a black arrow-tipped tail. She wears a black suit over a red collared shirt with white gloves, a black tie, and her sigil on the lapel. Post-game she swaps the jacket for a rolled-sleeve shirt and a black apron labelled SATAN.
Personality
Arrogant, bossy, ambitious, and — crucially — competent. She views herself as above the other demons and says so, but she is not a fraud: Hell runs because she runs it. The comedy comes from the collision between that and her complete inability to resist the Helltaker's pancakes. She is also, in Examtaker, quietly tragic: the same woman, in an apron, taking orders.
