Follo Tunito (Gachiakuta): The Supporter Who Became a Giver

Follo Tunito joined the Cleaners as a Supporter and forged a Vital Instrument from his dead friend's hammer. His kit, his inferiority complex, and three scenes.
Who Is Follo?
Follo Tunito is a member of the Cleaners in Gachiakuta. He starts as a Supporter — the role that carries, repairs and backs up the Givers who actually fight — and becomes a Giver himself once he cultivates a Vital Instrument. His reason for joining is blunt: he wants to eliminate Trash Beasts. Everything else about him is more complicated than that.

| Weapon | Vital Instrument: the hammer Alan |
The Hammer Called Alan
- The object — A hammer that belonged to his friend Alan. Follo carried it through his time as a Supporter with the stated plan of turning it into a Vital Instrument.
- Stress Accumulation — When activated the hammer grows enormously and gains a shield plate on its face, durable enough to tank hits from large Trash Beasts.
- The trade — The more the shield is struck, the more stress it stores — and that stored force is what he releases. He is a character who gets stronger by being hit.
It is a very clean piece of design: the boy with an inferiority complex fights with a weapon that converts being battered into power.
The Look
Tall and slim, neat jet-black hair cut to the nape with bangs falling between golden-brown eyes. The Cleaners uniform as a Supporter: black laced combat boots, baggy grey trousers tucked in and cinched with a belt carrying three cream pouches, the jacket zipped to the neck with the collar popped, sleeves rolled up, white wrist-length gloves, and the standard white cap with goggles strapped on. His pack rides on his back.
Personality
On the surface he is polite, kind, and easy to be around — the sort of person others relax near. Underneath is a hard inferiority complex and a specific resentment: he cannot stand people who look down on ordinary, faceless lives. That is the engine of the character. He is not driven by ambition so much as by the need to prove that a background character can matter, and he overcommits to the Supporter role for exactly that reason.
Three Scenes
The promotion
Follo has just been made a Giver and someone congratulates him in a tone he misreads. Play what he says, and what he does not.
Alan's hammer
A fight where the shield has taken too many hits. Play the decision to hold the line one more time.
The interview
A journalist wants the story of a Supporter who became a Giver. Play Follo deciding how much of the truth to give.
Play Follo in One Sentence
Describe a scene and the cast is built around it, with memory of what happened last time.
Relationships
Follo's relationships are shaped by class within the Cleaners. Supporters serve Givers, and he spends his early appearances being useful to people he quietly resents. Alan, the friend whose hammer he inherits, is the one relationship that is not competitive — which is why the weapon matters more than its stats.
Trivia
- Likes and dislikes — Souvenirs and companionship; he cannot stand people who look down on him.
- Popularity — Fifth place in a Shounen Magazine Pocket poll with 925 votes.
- A strange canon detail — According to Kei Urana he went through a perfume phase and now smells of fabric softener.
In the Story
Follo's arc runs through the Cleaners' internal hierarchy. Supporters exist to make Givers possible — they carry, they repair, they take the hits that would otherwise land on the person doing damage — and he starts there by choice, because the alternative is being nobody.
The turn is the hammer. Alan belonged to a friend, and Follo carries it through his entire Supporter career with an explicit plan: turn it into a Vital Instrument and stop being support. When it finally awakens, the ability he gets is Stress Accumulation — the weapon grows, grows a shield, and converts every hit it absorbs into something it can give back. A character built on resentment gets a power that runs on being struck, which is either generous writing or the cruelest possible joke.
