Megami Saikou: Yandere Simulator’s Final Rival

Megami Saikou: Yandere Simulator’s Final Rival

Megami Saikou is the tenth and final rival, Student Council president and heiress to Saikou Corp. Her absence, her security, and what she knows.

Who Megami is

Megami Saikou is the tenth and final upcoming rival in Yandere Simulator, and the president of the Student Council. She is the heiress to Saikou Corp, described as the most powerful business conglomerate in Japan — impossibly wealthy, a certified genius, extensively trained in self-defence, and educated from birth to inherit her father’s company. She is also, in the game’s own framing, the most beautiful and most popular girl in school, which is the sort of sentence the game uses deliberately: Megami is written as an accumulation of advantages until the accumulation itself becomes the character.

The detail that makes her playable as a character rather than a stat block is her absence. She has been away from school for nine weeks under circumstances she has not disclosed to anyone, keeping up with her schoolwork through a laptop and running the council by video call. She is visibly unhappy about it — she believes she should be attending like a normal student, and resents the situation while refusing to explain it. That is the crack in the perfection, and it is where every good scene with her starts: a person who is used to controlling every room she is in, stuck in a room she cannot enter.

Put her in the room she cannot control

The roleplay skill can open a council meeting where the president is on a screen, the agenda is a formality, and everyone is deciding what to tell her.

✦Roleplay
Use the roleplay skill to open a student council meeting where e.g. the president returns a week early — one screen, five chairs, and a subject nobody will name.

The look, and what it is doing

Megami is designed to read as authority at a glance: fair skin, rosy cheeks, periwinkle-grey eyes and thigh-length periwinkle hair with fringed bangs and a protruding ahoge, 166 cm tall, wearing the Student Council uniform with black stockings, gloves, and a choker with red stitching and bows. On her left arm sits the Red Armband of Leadership, lettered 生徒会 — student council. She wears the gloves even while running and removes them only when the environment poses a risk to them, such as swimming. Early designs had black hair and white accessories; that changed.

  • Gloves as a rule — A character who keeps her gloves on is telling you that contact is a controlled substance. It is the single most useful physical detail for writing her.
  • The armband is a label the other characters read first — Before anyone speaks to her, they see the office. That is how she is treated all day, and it is why the loneliness in her file is credible.
  • The colour scheme is cool by design — Periwinkle hair and eyes against a black uniform put her outside the warm palette of the rest of the cast. She is drawn as weather rather than as a classmate.
  • The one exception is her face — She is the only rival who does not blush in her official artwork — she strikes a gentle pose instead — and the only one without a “Bloody” illustration. The design withholds the usual tells.

What she is actually afraid of

The file is unusually direct about this: Megami is surrounded by people and often feels lonely. Because of her family’s fame she was treated as a celebrity rather than as a person with thoughts of her own, and she made exactly one friend in childhood. She has no room in her life for friendships, and she will politely decline any attempt to befriend her, on the grounds that it would be inappropriate for someone who holds authority over a student, and would look like favouritism. That is the most interesting fact about her: the refusal is not coldness, it is a rule she holds against her own interest. Write her as someone who would like to say yes and has decided she is not allowed to.

The second thing is what she knows. Megami is fully aware that there is a dangerous person on school grounds — she is the only character who is — and she arrives prepared to do everything in her power to protect the student body: security cameras, hired guards, a zero-tolerance policy for suspicious behaviour. She has warned the council to be extremely cautious over the next ten weeks and authorised them to carry pepper spray, which is why the council is far more alert than the rest of the school. The game’s own framing asks the question out loud: what does she know, does Saikou Corp have anything to do with it, and what does Senpai have to do with it.

Her relationship with Ayano Aishi is where the file gets sharp. Megami keeps a close eye on her, refers to her as a vulgar creature, and in a computer monologue says she would exterminate Ayano and her family if she could. The hatred is not random: Megami knows the history, and she expects Ayano to repeat what her mother did. There is also a thread connecting Ryoba Aishi to Saisho Saikou, Megami’s grandfather and the CEO of Saikou Corp, which is the most plausible explanation for how a student knows what she knows. If you are writing a confrontation, that is the material — not a fight, but two people who have both been handed a file about the other.

How to write her without making her a wall

An overpowered character fails when nothing can touch her, so the trick is to aim at what her competence cannot solve. She can install cameras; she cannot make the council tell her the truth. She can authorise pepper spray; she cannot be in the hallway. She can read a room; she cannot stop being the reason the room is formal. Every scene with Megami should put her in charge of the procedure and at the mercy of the people carrying it out. That is also how her stated persona works — she is assigned Lovestruck in the game’s persona system, which is a quietly funny detail: the final boss of the social sim is, mechanically, a girl with a crush she would never admit to.

Six stories with a hierarchy in them

These are real works on Neta Studio, and they are useful as structures rather than subjects: a school, a council, a rule, and someone who has decided what everyone is allowed to know.

Institutions first

Platform 9¾, 1971 is a school story where the group knows more than the newcomer, which is the shape of every council scene. The Ledger treats authority as paperwork — decisions recorded, consequences filed — which is exactly Megami’s register.

And the private register

Satin & Snow and First Light show how a controlled, formal voice can still be intimate; Mara at Dusk is the reminder that an antagonist needs her own agenda, not just an obstacle function.

Build the meeting in three moves

1

Start with the agenda

A student council meeting has items. Pick three dull ones and one that everyone is avoiding. The avoidance is the scene.

2

Give her a screen, not a room

Put her on a laptop or behind glass. Authority at a distance is more interesting than authority in person, and it makes every entrance cost something.

3

Let someone refuse her

One council member declines to answer. That single refusal is the whole engine of the scene, because her power is procedural and procedures need compliance.

The most powerful person in the room is on a screen

Open a council meeting where the president cannot reach the hallway and the hallway is where everything is happening. The roleplay hub is where that scene continues.

Built with the roleplay skill

roleplay holds Megami’s formal register and her habit of declining what she wants, with character memory keeping the council’s secrets straight across sessions; world-builder builds the school — corridors, council room, camera blind spots — because her power is spatial before it is personal. Can I roleplay as or with her?
Yes, as unofficial fan work. Keep to what her file establishes — procedural authority, the nine-week absence, the refusal to befriend students — and do not reproduce official artwork.
